Tarpon Mania!!!!

Well, I caught the biggest fish of my life the other day and I am still sore from reeling it in. I couldn't believe the size of this tarpon when it first jumped. I had to use every ounce of strength I had to finish the fight and not hand it over to someone else. It weighed near 150 lbs and took me an hour to catch. Tarpon are my favorite fish to paint and catch so this was the thrill of a lifetime for me.

Summer fun.

Summer is here and I am so blessed to live in the beautiful town of Hilton Head Island. Beach, pool and fishing has been the way it has gone so far and I have no complaints. The only bad news has been the passing of my daughters first pet "Rosie" the beta fish. Looks like I will be making a trip out to the pet store.

Tailing redfish

 Even though the redfish tail has been painted over and over by many artists I couldn't resist giving it a shot myself. The redfish has been good to my family. It is the primary fish my husband (who is a fishing guide) fishes for. I would like to do some prints of a tailing red, maybe this will be the one.See more at my etsy shop.

Sunset Surf

It has been way to long since I have surfed. I am a real wimp when it comes to cold weather. If my teeth are chattering then it is no fun for me. So I guess if I can't surf then I'll have to paint waves to get my fix. I can't wait for summer!You can see more of my paintings here.
