New Paintings.

Two of my favorite paintings so far . I feel like I'm starting to figure myself out. I am drawn to certain subjects and I am learning to be true to myself and what I like and to not worry about what  will sell or what everyone else will like. I know, it's real hard to do that as an artist and I might pay the price but I think I'm on the path to "finding myself". I know I'm out there somewhere.Ha!

P.S.- You can find these in my ETSY shop Here.

Two of my favorites

I have been obsessed with Sage Vaughn's art lately . He did a collaboration with one of my favorite surfers Rob Machado and proceeds will benefit RMF clean water filling stations project, which encourages youth at California elementary and high schools to use reusable water bottles in hopes of eradicating sales of single-use plastic bottles.Enjoy the eye candy below.

I can't stop taking photos of my surfboard. I just love these colors. I have this board in the entry of my home and I am embarrassed to say that I have only ridden it a few times because its kind of home decor and I always go to my old faithful McTavish that I always ride, but she's sure a beauty.

Is this the cutest guy ever? My husband caught this puffer fish on one of his charters. It makes me smile every time.

Rad cars by Kevin Butler.

I'm in love with these fun illustrations by Kevin Butler. They would be great to use in kids rooms. My personal favorite is the Volvo wagon. I had a few of those wagons and they were the best cars ever. Mine looked just like the one below. Sweet memories.....

Find beauty in the small things.

Beauty is all around us. Some people just don't understand how a leaf can be so amazing or mushrooms so beautiful but if you just take time to look again you can see beauty everywhere.

My new painting----- Philodendron Leaf

Great Art By Stavros Damos

I am in love with the graphic art of Stavros Damos. This is a collection of the rolling stones. How awesome! I might have to give this style a try of my own.

Sunset Surf

It has been way to long since I have surfed. I am a real wimp when it comes to cold weather. If my teeth are chattering then it is no fun for me. So I guess if I can't surf then I'll have to paint waves to get my fix. I can't wait for summer! You can see more of my paintings here.

Amazing Art

These stunning paintings are by London based artist Amy Judd. Her skin tone on her subjects  is so beautiful. I love the  hidden eyes in each painting that are shielded by wings of some kind. These are breathtaking! Find out more about her here.

Artist in the making.

I love children getting involved in art. This was sent into me by a 10 year old girl's proud Dad. She's got skills! Keep up the great work!

Studio Time.

In our new home I am lucky enough to have a great painting space. Its  been great not having to use the kitchen table for all my paints. I got a big stack of canvases during a great sale at Michaels and I love having lots of options. The world is my oyster!

Oyster Painting

I have been a shell lover since day one. I have a slight addiction to the hunt for shells. I have collected them all over the world but one we have an abundance of around here is the oyster shell. I decided to accentuate the colors of the shell and bring out its beauty.

Back to work

I decided to challenge myself with a painting of one of my favorite things,Amethyst. I love the way it turned out. I think I might do a series of minerals. Shells are in the works too.
I will post some before and afters of my renovation when I get them all together. It takes time to get settled and even more time to get it actually finished.

Artist love: Katherine Fraser

I found artist Katherine Fraser on ETSY. Her paintings are dark and moody and full of emotion. The subjects seem to have a spotlight on them despite their surroundings. Just beautiful. See more of her work here.
