Mermaids On The Brain

My daughter is obsessed with mermaids. She was Ariel from "The Little Mermaid " for Halloween, and even had a mermaid birthday party. I'm trying to complete her room with a mermaid theme so I found a few things she would love.

The mermaids below are from By The Sea Decor

I'm in love with LayBaby Lay's mermaid nursery design below even though my little one is a 4 year old now. Wish I would have seen it when she was a baby.

Artist Admiration

My heart skipped a beat when I saw these  unbelievable paintings by Sage Vaughn (no relation. I wish). These definitely inspired me to get the paints out again.
P.S.-He happens to be married to Sweet P from Project Runway. Remember her?

Jonathan Adler

I love the happy, laid back style of Jonathan Adler . I would love to see one of his homes in person. As I have said before sometimes you just need a few things in your home that make you smile when you see them. Here are a few of my favorites....

Object of my Affection

Do you ever get obsessed with an object that just makes you happy to look at? This urchin from Dwell Studio is one of those objects for me. Before this urchin there was this giant clam shell from Zgallerie that had me obsessed. Whats the object of your affection?

Warm spell

Not bad for mid December.  I got in a little family time on the beach.

Anthropologie finds

I always lean toward the home section of every store but I did manage to like a handbag too. Anthropologie is a little pricey but has some great holiday gift ideas.

Cute as a button

Mymimi on Etsy has the most adorable pillows that would make any little girl smile this Christmas.

Dreaming......

I'm trying to drop some hints to the hubby about our upcoming 10 year anniversary. Wish me luck!!!

Erik Abel for Reef Hawaiian Pro

As I have said before I love, love, love Erik Abel's paintings. This is his new design for Reef's hawaiian pro surf contest.

Artist Inspiration: Belinda Eaton

I am in love with Belinda Eaton's painting style. I find it really hard to loosen up and remind myself to not get lost in the fine details. I love her simplistic beauty and dramatic images.

Mineral Art

Carly Waito is an amazing artist I stumbles across. The painstaking detail in her mineral paintings blows my mind. I love the idea of focusing one beautiful object in a painting.
